Wiki WTF

Now, mind you, I just had some beer, so I don't really trust my own judgement on this. Is this Wiki article a) complete BS/someone with way too much time on their hands, b) at least semi-factual, but written in an odd tone?

I skimmed a little, whats so weird about it? That there was team called the 'Super Corollas'? Basketball is a big business in the Philippines and I guess they just name the teams after the sponsors.

The name of the team has nothing to do with why I did a double take after reading it. The wording gets a bit...odd...midway through.

that's uncalled for. you've been doing that an awful lot.

I've done it a total of 3 times I believe. Since when is educating people uncalled for? 😕 Most people seemed to be oblivious to the fact that Wikipedia and wiki do not mean the same thing.

Having done a presentation on Wiki during one of my years in college, I know perfectly well the difference between Wiki and Wikipedia. I also know ATOT well enough to know that 99% of the people here will have no trouble understanding what I'm referring to if I use a shortened form of Wikipedia. But thanks for trying to "educate" me nonetheless...

Isn't it still a Wiki Article? Meaning an article written using the wiki protocols, the OP seems correct in their wording.

I'd say you've got a point there 😛

A Wiki article would be on WikiWikiWeb. A wiki article might be on Wikipedia.

And yes, the writing style of the OP's link is... special.
