Which one is the best to get? I don't really care about home brew, but My cat likes to chew through crap (Chewed through my wii sensor bar twice), So I'm looking to play backups thats all.

it is a fake, but fakes have already been confirmed as working
working with imports, region free- gc's and back ups

Either one should work at the moment. Not sure about future updates. Got mine (original) from ConsoleSource.com and it works great.

Received mine yesterday. The reason it's far cheaper than the $40 going rate is because it's being direct shipped to you from Hong Kong. Direct from the source. No state side middleman. You'll see that (International postage markings) when you receive yours. I haven't installed mine yet but it looks to be an original Wiikey from all the pictures I've compared it too.

It took a full 10-12 days to get here from there but at $11 bucks shipped, it's the best deal going. Whoever still pays $40 for one of these just to get it from a U.S distributer really is foolish.... and whoever is getting people to buy them at that price is making an absolute killing!

In for one. For $11 how bad could it be. Plus from what people are saying at fw and here seems like the modchip is the same as the original wiikey modchip.

will see what happen though..hmm.... I just wish it is "region free", don't care much about backup game though..

its installed. it works great with the 1.2 disc
will try my back up tomorrow
-now to figure how to use the sd card through the gamecube memory card

I ordered one last week. Hopefully it won't be too bad to install. I don't have much soldering experience besides small things like speaker wires and such.

Same here...modded my v1.6 Xbox with a Xecuter 2.6 CE Last week having never soldered....screwed it up, desoldered (wick method) and tried all over. Success! XBMC rocks my socks...along with the other obvious mod-chip benefits. This looks far easier to install with just 6 solder points....especially if you just do the "quick solder" way and don't do the wire install.

I just need to buy a Wii now I guess....haha. Hope I get a v1 so I don't have to do the tricky chip-pin-leg mod. Kmart is outta stock.....hard to find in these in SC elsewhere.

I put the cart before the horse with this one.....😱

Just got the modchip in the mail today. Not bad for $11, now the soldering part might be a little tough considering that I tried modding my ps2 before and that didn't work out to well. Hopefully this is easier.

ya i'm interested as well. if anyone is in the SD area and would like me to solder for you, I can do it for you w/ no cost 😛.
