Wii question

It has built in wi-fi. I don't have access to wi-fi.

I want to know if it will work with my wireless n adaptor that's usb 2.0 only.

So will it?

Are you connecting to a wireless N router? If so, the odds are ridiculously high that the wii will connect to it once you've configured the router and wii to play nice with one another.

um wi-fi and wireless are the same
 
it should be fine as long as your router isn't set to n-speeds only.

It's been a while since I looked, but I'm pretty sure wii supports wpa2 psk ...whatever it is.

You don't connect to a wireless adapter, you connect a wireless adapter to your desktop/laptop computer's USB port to communicate w/ a wireless router. If you have a wireless router, you don't need to connect a wireless adapter to your Wii to access the net 'cause it has built-in wireless capabilities.
 
One more question. Are the wii's usb ports 2.0? I would guess 1.1, but I don't know for sure so I'm asking.

Any particular settings I should choose with my linksys wrt54g so it will communicate best with the wii's built in wireless?

What Wii settings are best, or will it automatically connect?

I'm about to replace my defective wii with a new one, and so I'm not familiar with it's wireless capabilities, since when i used my now-defective one to download two games, i used the USB lan adaptor, but it's been about a year since I've used it and now i'm about to take my busted one back to bbuy for a new one (ALWAYS get their extended warranty), so there won't be any graphical corruption that was caused by wii 24 the last time i used it.

For the best connection from your wireless to your wi-fi (I r thnking they are the compaible), you need to get a sharpe marker and write "54Mbps" on the side of the Wii console. This way, your wifierless usb router will know what speed to connect and after that it's pretty automatic.
