I'm looking forward to a true baseball sim. However, "The Bigs" coming out at the end of the month will have to whet my appetite for now.

What are you looking forward to? Please mention estimated release dates too.

Big Brain Academy.

has anyone play the Jap version of Bleach for Wii? I only seen it on Youtube, and it looks nice and i love the Anime series.

I currently want to buy:

Super Paper Mario (out now!)
Mario Party 8 (out now!)
Wiiplay(for the remote!) (out now!)
Monkey Ball Wii (out now!)

Mario Strikers Charged (summer)

Super Smash Bros Brawl (end of year)
Super Mario Galaxy (end of year)
Guitar Hero 3 (end of year)

Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 (no clue)
The new Godzilla (no clue)
Big Brain Acadamy (no clue)

Whether I'll actually buy many of those is up in the air but I get my Wii back tomorrow so I can start picking up some of the ones that are already out.

Don't. Banana Blitz is far worse than the original GameCube Super Monkey Ball (not sure about the GameCube Super Monkey Ball 2, though, since I never played it). ... On second thought, maybe you might buy my copy if my sister agrees to let it go?

That game is out this week, but I don't think it's worth $50. Not nearly.

As for myself, I'm most looking forward to playing (in approximate order of release date):

Super Paper Mario (out now, but I want to play The Thousand-Year Door first)
Fire Emblem: Akatsuki no Megami (November)
Super Mario Galaxy (Q4)
Super Smash. Bros Brawl (Q4)

If they get good reviews and whatnot, I might want:

NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams (October)
Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution (Q3)
Ghost Squad (Q4)

And I might even consider getting, but probably only if they're less than $50:

Pokémon Battle Revolution (June 25)
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles (October)

That's disappointing to know. I skpped it originally and bought Rayman instead after I read thr inital reviews for the game that said it wasn't as good at the others. I was considering buying it mainly because none of the Wii games were getting very good reviews and Super Monkey Ball 2 on the gamecube was a lot fun. Maybe I'll try renting it first.

I enjoy all the minigames games mostly because I usually try to play with friends/family more than myself. I wouldn't mind a good first person shooter with online multiplyer.

I thought monkey ball was good...if you liked the other ones at least. The minigames are pretty crap, but the single player is well done and HARD AS HELL.

Most current Wii games definitely cater to group play. Hopefully we'll get some really good single player games.

I've had excite truck for a month and only started playing it recently. It's actually pretty fun!

Yes, it does get very hard starting at about World 5, but not for the same reasons as the GameCube Super Monkey Balls. In the originals, it got hard because of the clever level designs and tricky paths you had to follow. The originals had you moving with the analog stick, however, which was a very precise way to handle things.

With Banana Blitz, the game just gets hard because you can't get the monkey to go where you want it to. I've never gotten used to the motion controls on that game. They are simply too imprecise for a game like Monkey Ball, which demands precision. The whole time I played it, all I could think of was how much better it would have been if I was able to use an analog stick.

Right now I have :

Excite Truck ( highly underrated imo )
Zelda Twilight Princess
Super Paper Mario ( awesome game )
Wii Sports of course

Going to purchase upon release :

Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition
Metroid Prime 3 Corruption
Super Mario Galaxy
Sadness
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Madden 08

I forgot about that one and umbrella chronicals. I might have to check out excite truck as well because I've heard nothing but praise for that game.

I have...

Zelda - awesome game if you like, altho, it does resemble OOT, which I didn't play.
Excite Truck - cool, fun, not for everyone though
Red Steel - meh, I can't get myself to finish the game
COD3 - Not as bad as people say, I haven't had time to go back to it, but I never played any COD either
Heatseeker - kinda fun, probably not worth it for most people
Super Paper Mario - very wordy, a very sappy ending IMO, heh
Wii Play - bleh, only if you need the controller
Rayman - another keeper (don't have it anymore... I sorta #$%@ up a friendship)
SSX Blur - cool, but difficult for me.. heh.. i need to get back into this
Sonic - Music sucks, games is alright... not worth full price.

Want:

Warioware - awesome multiplayer (5+ IMO), but my friend has it, and his place is more suited for getting together.
SSBB - do I need to say more?
Metroid Prime
RE4

Maybes:

RE: UC
Mario Strikers

That's it for now, I bought way too many on impulse...

To the ones mocking the control scheme in SMB:BB, I'm sorry, but you just suck. Well, I wouldn't necessarily take it that far, it does take time to master. The precision with the Wiimote is far superior to the very, very accurate GC controls. It just takes practice.

Most looking foreward to

Guilty Gear
Ghost Squad
RE:UC
Batallion Wars 2
*maybe Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles

Will be in a world of joy when Sega starts porting over all their arcade light gun games 🙂

As for first parties:
SSB Brawl, and that would be it.

Super Paper Mario, not out in europe, stupid stupid fscking region crap

Big Brain Academy, no idea when

Katamari, no idea when

Oh yea, I totally forgot about Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles The Crystal Bearers. This game will be in my machine on release day.

And RandomFool, thanks for reminding me of Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles.

Oh, and ummmm.......TRANSFORMERS :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Yep, pretty much. I thought the wiimote was much better control for SMB.

To each his own. I did not like having to warp and wrap my hand around in ways it was not meant to bend just to play a game. Aside from the controls, as that seems to be pretty subjective, I guess, Banana Blitz still has a worse presentation and worse mini-games than the first two games.

Yeah, they did totally screw monkey target, which was the best part about monkey ball in the first place.

I have a Wii and I don't play it at all. It just sits and collects dust.

There also is nothing coming out in the near future that I am excited for at all.

I may sell the thing.

1. I'm a Wii Owner (as asked for by the thread title)

2. I listed what I'm looking forward to (as asked by the OP)

So you are welcome.
