Wii Multiplayer?

Picked up a used wii and still figuring it out.
My wife's friend has a wii, can they play games like tennis together over the internet connection?

Nope. only a few games have online play (Mario Kart, Animal Crossing)

You can play against people using friend codes. Once you put your friends code into the friend list, and he/she does the same then you can play. Other than that you can do random matches over WFC (not with Animal Crossing).

Not sure about other EA titles, but Tiger Woods Golf 09 allows you to play online with whoever you choose. EA set up their own online service so you can find friends using the EA account instead of the friend codes.

Been playing the golf a bit and tennis with the wife. Problem is I hurt my right shoulder a while back and have to play tennis with my left arm.
