You don't need a wii mote, all you need is any IR camera, which can be had for cheap.

True I'm sure the guys software either already supports using one or could be trivially rewritten to do so. The point is more that not many people have a good quality IR camera in their homes but many already have a Wii and this is a really innovative use for it.

I've been wanting to do the white board thing cause it would be fun to draw like that, but I'm not willing to get all the supplies and not sure how to hook it up necessarily. I do have a wii already though.

That guy's awesome. It almost makes me want to buy a Wii just for this purpose (and then I can play with the Wii when I'm not using the IR camera on the remote)

From what I saw, it seems you only need a wiimote, his software, a homemade IR penlight, and some sort of reciever for the wiimote for the PC.

The Wiimote uses bluetooth I believe. So you just need a bluetooth receiver.
