Can the Homebrew channel on the Wii do emulation?

I know it works with ScummVm (which is awesome). Also can the Homebrew channel be installed on the latest Wiis?

Thanks

One of my friend's has this installed, though it seems like a lot of hassle. Not to mention, never going online or updating your wii again.

I'd rather just throw together a cheap mini itx or ion system.

I go online.

and you they will release the updates with the stupid crap stripped out.

I mostly do it so I can easily stream media to that TV and games load way quicker after I rip them to the HDD

Never going online? Why? Nintendo only bans people using modded games, not for installing HBC. My Wii is online all the time, and can access all the channels, including the shop channel. You just have to know _how_ to update the channels and IOS(es).

I have a few emulators on mine - it's nice to have the option, although I don't use it too much.

My prob with the super nes emulator is I can't seem to map it right. Tried to map it to a classic controller and a gamecube controller but whenever I push some of the buttons it just pauses the game and brings up the config menu. Wanted to play FFVI but I gave up.
