This thread is to list all the decent games released/coming out on Wii so people can finally see that the Wii game library isn't just Kiddy Games or first party.

I'll start:

Batallion Wars 2: Online Multiplayer combination of third person and strategic overhead RTS perspective Squad-based battles spanning air/land/sea IGN: 8

Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles: House of the Dead Style light gun game covering all past RE locations as well as new ones, in development for over 2 years.

Medal of Honor Heroes 2: IGN says this is the finest controlling fps on any console. Looks decent, has 32 player multiplayer support online, scores IGN: 8.4

Ghost Squad: high-adrenaline Sega Arcade Shooter, spiritual Successor to Virtual Cop 4.

Super Mario Galaxy: best platformer ever created. IGN: 9.7

Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure- another great adventure game. IGN: 8.7

Guitar Hero III: Best version of GH, has rumble feature and audio feedback coming out of the wireless guitar. IGN: 8.6

Metroid Prime 3: Another first party masterpiece. IGN: 9.5

Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. IGN: 9.5

Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition. IGN: 9.0

Scarface The World is Yours: a Grand-Theft Auto-esque game. IGN 8.5

SSX Blur: latest version of SSX downhill snowboarding/stunt series (like Tony Hawk, except downhill and faster) IGN: 8.4

Trauma Center: Second Opinion: Surgery simulation game, IGN

Nights: Journey of Dreams: Sega successor to orignal Nights masterpiece on Saturn.

Endless Ocean: a deep sea diving/sight seeing simulation getting a lot of attention in Japan.

Sega Bass Fishing: a fishing simulation using the Wii remote!

Worms A Space Oddity: Return of the Worms franchise on console with multiplayer support

Guilty Gear XX: latest incarnation of popular Guilty Gear Franchise. Also released on ps2, so not that spectacular, but still a great game.

Rayman Raving Rabbids 2: will feature some good on-rail light gun action using on-location pre-rendered backgrounds.

I'll add more later on.

I've got a wii. The only title you've listed that I dont already own that I want is Mario Galaxy. I only own 5 Wii titles (including Sports)

How is the Wii version of GH3 the best version?

Well, the OP claims this because of the ability to stick the Wii-mote into the guitar, which gives you rumble and audio feedback from the speaker. Not sure why you'd ever want rumble on Guitar Hero, but the audio feedback from missed notes does look pretty cool. However, the Wii version falls short in a couple of areas: no DLC and the online code system sucks.

Yeah, the fact that you cant do anything with DLC is really crappy. GH3 got 2 of the best DLC song packs released yesterday (Foo Fighters, and Velvet Revolver), much better than the GH2 DLC. Audio feedback would be cool, but I dont need that... Is there any VS or COOP on the Wii version? (I'm not going to buy it, just curious)

Pointing to _IGN_ numbers is kind of stupid. Their ratings scale seems to start at 7. Show us some metarankings or gamerankings numbers, and then get back to us.

IGNs reviews for all those games are pretty close to the gamerankings scores.

I bought Elebits last December and played through it. It's neither "pikmin-esque" nor an RTS. It's actually a very good, quirky FPS that doesn't involve killing things. The controls are a little odd to get used to but after a few levels I was a pro.

And IGN is consistent with other sites:
http://www.gamerankings.com/it...etails.asp?siteid=1188

Site's Avg Ratio For All: 69.8%
GR Avg Ratio for All titles this site has reviewed: 69.0%
Difference: 0.7%

And their wii reviews tend to be lower than other sites:
Site's Avg Ratio For WII: 63.8%
GR Avg Ratio for WII titles this site has reviewed: 64.2%
Difference: -0.4%

You're right, I suppose for a fanboy rant that kind of accuracy is close enough. :p

I like the guitar better than the others. the speaker and remote being inside are pretty sweet. Even the rumble is neat because it gives you a little bit more feedback for start power, not that you can't just look at the screen you're already staring at. No DLC sucks but I'm waiting on Rock Band for that. The codes don't bother me much but that's probably because I don't have any friend with GH3 Wii. If I had a 360 I would have bought that version.

This was one of the first games I bought for Wii. For the original experience, you use the gamecube controller and it will feel just like the arcade.

The only games that even really look worth playing are, again, the first party games (SMG, MP3, and TP). However, I may pick up RE:UC just for something fun to play with a friend on my dust-collecting Wii.

PS: I patiently await Monday so I can finally get the dust off.

You are supposed to shake the controller up and down or something. :p
