They seem to be pretty readily available at the local GameStop. You'll have to pay tax, mind you, so this NewEgg deal isn't too shabby -- the only better one I've seen recently is Amazon, since they won't charge S&H for it (outta stock though).

You still see people trying to resell them for ridiculous prices though, because some people don't bother to do research to see if a local retailer has them in stock.

I think you meant $12.99 - because that's what it is showing for me and I also am in Virginia.

Nope, it was $2.99 earlier to VA for me. Now it shows $12.99.

I figured it was way too low...probably a typo.

Ah, too bad. I would order it @ $2.99 shipping, but when they can ship a 30lbs steel case for $10, I'm not paying $12.99 shipping on a much smaller and lighter item.
 
Thanks, just ordered one. Was 12.99 shipping to AL but since I would pay almost this amount in sales tax it was worth it to me to not have to keep checking places or actually go out to get one. These are still selling out within hours down here.
 
Circuit City had a ton of these a few days ago when I went, 20%, so $72 plus tax. You should check your CCs if you have one around.
 
Check your local Costco first before hoping on this or gamestop. The one near me(cranberry, pa) had a pallet of them yesterday for $78.99, a bunch of wii's for $244.99 or so too
