well a 1gb sd card probably costs probably clsoe to $50 and aren't extended warranties usually around $50 for stuff like this?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLi...egory=68&description=&Ntk=&srchInDesc=

1GB SD for $16-$43. Most around $20

Edit:
And it already has a 1 year warrentee.

its probably a very limited warranty

$43 is close to 50...those inexpensive ones are usually garbage though.
i assume the 12 month product replacement plan is after the manufacturer's warranty is up or is it sort of like if anything happens in 12 months just return it to GS and they'll replace it, no questions asked kind of deal?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what it is.

Nintendo's usually pretty good about thier warrentee. And Corsair, Kingston, PNY, and Sandisk all have SD cards under $26. The only one above $28 is a Simpletech.

well, the other thing you gotta consider is that this is Gamestop, not Newegg. Gamestop/EB Games isn't discounted at all. they'll charge as much as they can, no matter what.

They don't even list the terms of the plan, but those plans usually start from the day of purchase.

Got home around 8:15pm EST and gamestop/eb already pulled the preorders. I wonder just how many Wiis have been preordered thus far...things seem to be looking pretty good for Nintendo.

Their site says they aren't taking any more preorders. I'm mad now. I wanted to get one by Christmas for myself but it's not looking good. And no, I'm not paying $6-700 for a bundle of garbage I'll never play. I just want the old NES and SNES games for now and I'll keep playing my GC games.
