Wii Bundle
And so here Wii are. Less than two weeks and counting until the most innovative product the video game industry has seen hits the streets.

This Thursday evening (CST), November 9, your opportunity to get in on the excitement arrives when the Wii Bundle becomes available for purchase online at GameStop.com. You'll get the best games, accessories and more in one convenient package delivered right to your door - all for under $699 plus tax and handling.

Quantities are extremely limited and there will be a limit of 1 Wii bundle per household, limited to US delivery only. Ordering a bundle does not guarantee shipment at launch and orders will be shipped on a first-come, first-serve basis. The bundle will be removed from the site as soon as we have reached our expected quota.

:D

This is what I'd expect:
Wii - $250
Extra Remote + Nunchuk - $60
3 games - $170
------------------
$480

I can't imagine they'd make you buy more than that. Maybe $20 worth of points for virtual console games?

Edit: Maybe a classic controller?

I wonder if they'll have white GameCube controllers out at launch? I think they had them before, but in limited quantities?

That is BS, why should I be forced to buy a bundle of games with it. If you get a system, your certainly getting something to play on it.

Where are the days when they already CAME with not only a game but a KICK ASS GAME, like mario came with the NES and SONIC or AlteredBeast came with Sega. That used to be a big selling point to a new system. Squeeze another $$ from us you corporate F v c k'rs.

My buying experience:

NES - Came with two controllers but no games (there were different type of bundles of course)

SNES - Two controllers, Super Mario World (an awesome game, would have sold millions if it wasn't bundled)

Playstation - One controller...

IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT SONY!! :D

This is one system that I'll take my chances and head to any store but walmart on launch day.

You don't have to buy a bundle, you can wait until it's launched and buy it in a store.

yeah but still, its not the point. systems used to come with something extra without costing more and it was nice.

Yeah, i'm hoping Costco will have it, but if not the target within walking distance from my house will have 69 of them.

Well they do give you a game with the Wii. ;) It's not the greatest game, but it should be a fun party game. You could look at it as they're taking something away, or you could look at it as they're not giving you anything you don't need. A lot of people would rather pick their own game. If they sold it with a "real" game, they'd raise the price. Nintendo doesn't take a loss on their systems like Microsoft and Sony do - they're a video game company, they don't have unrelated divisions to allow them to sustain massive losses.

GS bundles are never cheaper. It's the same price as if you would have bought them separately, that's why these bundles are a scam. They are just doing it to sell items with bigger margins.

dont get the bundle if you dont want anything in it, im sure you can go camp out in front of a target. or wait a few days. me thinks theres plenty of wii for everyone. unlike the ps3

whoever came up with the idea of bundles should be executed. it's not right.

I cant see myself spending more then 300 dollars on a bundle for a wii. All I would need is the wii and enough points to buy some good oldschool games :)

I think they are just trying to take advantage of all the shortage hype.
