Well, you can either get a router that includes a wireless access point (like the Linksys WRT54G), or you can get a wireless adapter for your PC (internal PCI or external USB) and put the networking type as ad-hoc.

For the router you would attach the Ethernet wire that currently serves you to the WAN port on the router, and then hook up another Ethernet wire from one of the router ports to your PC. Then you'd have to read the documentation for the router and camera for what sort of settings you want to go for that will enable wireless communication between the devices. If you were having too much trouble getting that set up, then you could post here for more help. This is a standard wireless network, with a central access point.

With the second method, you would purchase a wireless adapter. You can either add it to an open PCI slot, or you can buy a USB one and attach it that way. Either way, you set the wireless network properties to ad hoc by checking the box in the wireless properties window. An ad-hoc network is a peer-to-peer wireless network with no central point of access.

Personally, I'd definately go with option one. But make sure your school even allows wireless networks. I know that some schools ban users who use wireless access points and devices.
