It's still too early in the price discovery phase for Android tablets, the tablet to get now is the Nook Color, IMO. It's already selling for close to or below it's cost to make.

I thought it was announced for 599? So wouldn't it being 539 at a warehouse be spot on?

$539 is an extremely awesome price for a Xoom. At that price point it could be a true iPad alternative; something that hasn't existed yet.

That really is a fake Sams Club and fake Xooms

It a Training Store, with no real customers, and fake Xooms...

The price may be accurate though, Moto says they're $599, so $519 at a wholesale club is about right...

Look at the bottom side of the display. It clearly says Xoom Wifi, if it is fake it seems awfully convincing.

It's not that it's a faked image, it's just in a demo store where they setup/design new product displays, and then they take pictures of those to send out to other stores, to show them how to do it.

I'm betting that's going to be the real price. They could have easily just left the sign blank, as it's not crucial to the setup. I think we can bank on $539 for the Wi-Fi Xoom from Sam's Club.

Now we just need a release date.

On a sidenote, this is what gripes me. My bro is graduating from college in May and I want to get him a tablet (he's been dying for one). But having no idea when this comes out hurts, whereas the iPad releases next week with a bunch of diff configs. This would easily get snatched up, if it weren't for lack of info or any other options available at all. Just, bad way to try to compete if your launch is fucking retarded.

There is a Nintendo 3DS display in the background of that last picture. But that picture also has people browsing the isle, too.
