Hello, I have something werid going on and I was wondering whether maybe somebody has an idea on what it could be! I have this wireless adaptor: http://www.wireless-driver.com/thomson-tg123g-wireless-windows-driver-utility/ When I use it on my PC, my internet is like EXTREMELY slow, when I do the speed test it's only 0.38 Mbps. When I do the same test with LAN cable attached, it's >17 Mbps (I know, my internet connection isn't very fast, but what a difference!) Strangely enough with this adaptor my UPLOAD speed is actually faster than my download speed (and the upload speed is approximately the same as with LAN). Now, I also have a laptop which has its own built-in Wifi, and internet on my laptop is NOT slow at all, in the same room, next to my computer. So there must be something going on with this Thomson TG123g adaptor, but what??? I have downloaded the latest divers and it doesn't make a difference at all. If I try to buy another adaptor, do you think it'll make a difference? EDIT: I have also tried changing the channels the last time I was struggling with this (it was a while ago, after that I installed LAN thinking that Wifi just won't work inside my house - only to learn that it works fine when I got that laptop), and it didn't make a difference at all. I just need my computer to have wireless internet because I'm planning on moving it to a different room without LAN, and it should be possible to make it work because it works on my laptop, too...
