Wifi problem

I used to have a wi-fi network at my old house when I used a laptop, and it worked fine.

Now I moved into an apartment and bought a desktop, so I bought a netgear wireless-g card, and so did my roomates.

We installed our cards and set up the network, but were all having the same problem. We can connect to the router (says excellent connection, etc.) but we cant get internet access, or even access the routers built in web utility. I know the cable works because when I hook up the cable modem w/ cat-5 to my computer it works fine.

I figured it was my d-link router so i bought a belkin one, and im having the same problem.

What could be the problem ? Im willing to try anything to fix this, so any ideas are a help.

Thanks
