wifi only network

Looking to setup a basic belkinn150 wifi router solely to allow a tablet to beable to print to a wireless printer. What changes in the router menu do I need to do for this vice it acting as a standard connected to modem setup?

Some specific hardware details would help, but even if you do this as you describe you won't be able to print from other devices unless they also connect through said router.

If the printer or tablet supports Wireless Direct (example) then you can connect the tablet directly.

If neither support Wireless Direct, but your tablet supports ad hoc connections (example), you can still connect directly.

there's only 2 devices, an old xp cpu and the tablet. Tried printing to the printer with the hp eprint app and that worked fine for a first time print without adjust any settings or using photo paper (including doing a serious print head cleaning run and realignment as it hadn't been used in around 15 months.

So, Wireless Direct worked and you don't need the router. Is that correct?
