WiFi networking using proxy server

I use a proxy server from www.analogx.com ,its a simple server which lets you network 2 computer.

I am using zyxel wifi zyair G-220 usb adaptor for sharing the network & internet from my desktop computer.

If I remove the zyair adaptor when I dont need the networking then my internet stops completely on my desktop, I dont know the reason. I need to do this bcoz my wifi adaptor consumes 35-40% of CPU so when not needed I want to remove it & still use the internet.

Need some advice how do I do this using the proxy server.

What type of Internet Connection?

How it is connected to the main computer?

The type of connection that you are using is usually quirky when used with Wireless. The best solution would be to spend $10-$15 and get a Cable/DSL Router.

Otherwise try to close the Proxy if you are not using the second computer and release/renew the IP with IPconfig.
