So I'm new to smartphones and not up to date on everything. Just got an Incredible 2 which is pretty frickin' sweet. I LOVE the wifi part. Anyway, I understand that when I'm connected to a wifi connection that it automaticalluy uses the wifi and does not go through my carrier data plan.
What about voice? From what I understand, but default, being connected to wifi does not help your voice connections and it still counts against your minutes. I guess unless you get like google voice or skype or something internet based.

Am I right?? :)

Correct, unless you setup a program for wifi based voip voice calls will go through the cell signal.
