I just installed a DLink DWL G510 802.11g card and am using it with my Netgear WGR614v4 router with WPA-PSK. It works fine except that whenever I reboot Windows XP, the network starts as no connection, and the "repair" option doesn't work either. However if I disable the interface and then re-enable it, it works every time.

There's also a ~ 1 minute delay before Windows XP finishes loading (stuck at the "Loading user settings" screen)

anybody know what's wrong? thanks in advance

first thing i did was downloading the latest driver from the internet. didn't even touch the CD.

i checked the properties when it first boots up and it's as if it's trying to connect to an open network. but disabling it then reenabling it works.
