Currently contemplating upgrading.
Overall I'm pretty satisfied with my Netgear R7000. It's universally compatible with firmware like DD-WRT, Tomato, etc... The only thing that's starting to get to me is that we moved into a much bigger home (~4300 sqft) so range is an issue if you're on the opposite side of the home.
I tried getting a repeater - but all it ever seemed to do was crash the wifi overall. Maybe I wasn't doing it right - but what I was told that in general repeaters are just crappy.
Do you folks think it's worth upgrading to WiFi 6 - and if so, which one? Reviews I'm seeing are all over the board - with a lot of them getting quite negative reviews. I'm hoping for something that is relatively rock-solid with little to no crashing like my current R7000.
