Plugged my 9 year old into counselling (whole family actually), and hired a couple of lawyers. I've got the guy's ashes in my garage till we get a decent urn

He had a GF that may be determined to be a common-law wife (sort of doubtful). @ this point my 9 year old stepdaughter is the only heir. Don't know about the driver except that he was placed on admin leave & fired shortly afterwards. If we were going to sue, I couldn't talk about it

The passenger compartment really doesn't look all that jacked up, the sad thing is he likely could have survived if he'd been wearing his seatbelt.



I'm assuming you & your wife were on reasonable terms with him considering your reaction?

Yep, he would have prob survived if he'd been wearing his seatbelt. Buckle up everyone & buy cars/pickups with airbags.

I caught myself not wearing my seatbelt yesterday & freaked...
