Your first mistake was thinking that that sh!thole tacky place has anything romantic.

Actually I'm not being fair, because there are a FEW places in that area which are romantic. However, we were told by many people to go there (next to pigeon forge, right?) and we went there last year hoping for a nice peaceful trip away. Our reward? Traffic worse than birmingham rush hour (not even exagerating a little), and store after store of CRAP. You've got guiness world record store, a porn store, fugging inside theme parks, haunted houses. My God, it was like all that people think of when they think of tacky Americans and how they just tack the sh*t out of everything. Bloody mess it was.

EDIT: Sorry, this is your thread. I'm just still mad that's all 🙂 It was a nice weekend, but not because of the tackiness that's for sure!!

The Place we are staying is a little condo on a cul-de-sac's(sp) and well The Room is a 1 bedroom with kicthen. So it is still nice and we do not need to leave the Loveshack if we do not want to.

Price the 2 nights there $50 to the old people!! Go old people!! Old people don't suck after all! It is No where near Gatlinburg but who cares. But I am gonna Miss skinny dippin' in the hot tub on the deck overlooking smokey mountain nat'l forrest and my wifes ample peaks. sorry no pics. Phenderson Will probably see my wife or a picture if he comes over to buy my TV or Monitor he lives 1 mile away he can confirm she's a hottie 😉

Bad thing it is all back roads to get there No interstates at all 🙁

You just need to use them correctly. Being able to take 1-2 week vacations, always staying in nice condos at locations with all the prime amenities included at the "huge" cost of $180/yr (Maintainence fee). Using a group like RCI you can trade your week(s) for time at any other RCI timeshare. So while you might own time in Maine, you can take your vacation in Hawaii at your pick of resorts. They are for people that like to take nice vacations every year. Sure, if you never travel then no, they aren't worth it to you, but if you like nice vacations at 5 star resorts every year, then they are the best way to go about it.
