Wife Ruined Romantic weekend!

Any one know anything about Fairfield Glade Resort? I was gonna book a romantic cabin near Gatlinburg TN. for a romantic weekend and my freekin silly wife asked a couple that is 65-70 years old where to stay in Gatlinburg TN.

Somehow they booked this place w/o me knowing it!!!!! We just asked for a suggestion! OMG 🙁 and said they'd help us pay for it 🙂 (they are nice old folks in our church) but I see the "RCI" logo and I know they get POINTS and a kickback from us and that they probably own a timeshare which is the worst waste of money ever!

So I am pissed off I had a place secluded a huge jacuzzi and a hot tub outside for skinny dippin' on a deck over looking the smokies man I was gonna get get some which is hard when you are married with small children! And after this place had a Pool table in our cabin so my wife which is a total hottie (like Lana Vonkhan's woman hot) could play nekkid pool 😎😎😎 Now I am gonna play shuffle board and monopoly and go to a public beach with old peolpe in speedos!!!! Man I am pissed!!!

I am half tempted to tell her sorry work said to late you have to work! :| 😎

The Place we are staying is a little condo on a could-e-sac (sp) and well The Room is a 1 bedroom with kicthen. So it is still nice and we do not need to leave the Loveshack if we do not want to.

Price the 2 nights there $50 to the old people!! Go old people!! Old people don't suck after all! It is No where near Gatlinburg but who cares. But I am gonna Miss skinny dippin' in the hot tub on the deck overlooking smokey mountain nat'l forrest and my wifes ample peaks. sorry no pics. Phenderson Will probably see my wife or a picture if he comes over to buy my TV or Monitor he lives 1 mile away he can confirm she's a hottie 😉

Bad thing it is all back roads to get there No interstates at all 🙁
 
Tell them you already paid for your room and can't get a refund so they'll have to try to get a refund for theirs.

Edit: If they still want to help pay, its no problem, just write you a check to cover part of the room you "already paid for".

Sure But I'd look like a prick to my wife my mother in law and the 2 elderly people that are trying to take advantage of me. the funny thing is that I stayed at a place affliated with RCI and did a time share walk though and at the end I wanted to kill the little creeps ass so bad and he knew it. and he still thought he was going to get the sale. I told the bastard 5 minutes into the 3 hours we were not buying even if it was $5 😛 Time share salesmen make used car salesmen look like mother TReresa!
 
Hmm W3rd on the cousin but I'm in Kentucky, not from here mind you, and it closer in the family here. :Q

Talk to your wife about how you feel about it. If this is a romantic getaway, it should be special, and you should not have qualms or be upset about where you stay.
 
My parents have a timeshare with RCI in Fairfield Tennessee! They never have stayed there though.

I'm not sure how much they pay for it but its pretty cool in that they bough the cheapest timeshare, and can pay like $88 to transfer it to any other timeshare that RCI has. Its pretty sweet staying somewhere for a week for $88.
 
I feel sorry for you but honestly, if I were in your shoes, I'd blow off the old couple's option without a second thought and go for the cabin you had planned on. Why do you find yourself obligated to go someplace you don't want to?

Most people I know that have timeshares have either never used, or used it once, immediately after buying.

Why bother people?!?!? I'd rather stay where I want when I want.

Timeshares = teh suck
