states 63 in a 50, she claims she was doing 55 tops. I thought at first this was a radar ticket.

I read the nice 8x10 printout they give you now from the car and see VASCAR SERIAL 2484.

WTF is that, isn't VASCAR a visual over a set distance/time.

Anyway the funny thing is I think this guy gave me a ticket once (my home town and he has a common name though) that I know was wrong, at the time I think he stated he 'paced' me. I had enough times I was speeding and not caught to not bother contesting it.

My wife though is Mrs. 'look upshift light' shift now. You are going too fast. Stay in the right lane. etc.

anyways her first ticket (she is over 34 :) )

Anyone know the way to resolve this best? I am just planning paying it and having her do online traffic school.

Is 34 some magical number? I know you are trying to establish she's a good driver (or lucky) for having a license for so long and not having a ticket. But, why 34? Why not say she is over 31? or 27?

Traffic school is to get you out of having the offense reported to your auto insurance company. What ever it costs, it's worth it.

Because that is my age. I have said she was older than me many times here, but she'd rather no one know.

She looks 26-28.

She really hasn't had a US DL that long, only about 4 years + about 3 6 month deals when she came here to work from Japan.

She is an overly cautious driver if that is a good way to describe it.

huh? You don't have to go to traffic school, it's elective. They let you do it to waive the points a speeding ticket will cause you.

Saves your insurance rates. In some areas that only allow one speeding ticket every 6 months, your driver's license as well. You can only do it 6 times in a lifetime in my state.
