Caroline Cartwright, 48, was remanded in custody until May 5 charged with three breaches of her Asbo in ten days.

Magistrates in Sunderland slapped her with a four-year order on April 17, banning her from "making excessive noise" anywhere in England.

But Houghton le Spring Magistrates' Court heard that police arrested her on April 18, April 22 and April 26 after neighbours complained she was flouting the ban with the help of husband Steve.

Prosecutor Claire Ward said there were complaints of early morning shouting, moaning, groaning and the sound of a bed banging against the wall. Cartwright was arrested on Sunday and charged with three counts of breaching her Asbo.

Cartwright, of Hall Road, Concord, Washington, Tyne and Wear, whose husband sat in the public gallery, elected trial by jury and her case will be transferred to Newcastle Crown Court.

A bail application from defence solicitor Peter Lothian was refused.

Cartwright was remanded in custody and ordered to appear via video link before Sunderland Magistrates' Court on May 5.

On April 17, she was convicted for five breaches of an abatement notice and fined a total of £515.

Magistrates also imposed the Asbo, banning her from making excessive noise, knocking, shouting, screaming or vocalisation that can be heard in neighbouring properties or outside the house, and playing loud music.

sounds like my ex roommate's girlfriend... she was like porn star noisy, she had to be faking it. and the entire apartment would shake when they were going at it.

on the one hand, it was like good for him, but on the other, they didn't really give a shit what else might be going on outside his bedroom door. I basically had to stop inviting my friends over because it was so like awkward every time.

I had a roommate just like that. The guy made almost as much noise as her. They even left their door open sometimes when drunk. Made me wonder if they got off on the idea of all of us knowing.

Reporting similar story here. Plus, on top of that his girlfriend invited her 13 yr old sister over for a day, and they were having loud sex all the time. Pretty sure they did it on purpose because as soon as anyone came over they would start that shit.

Any kind of excessive noise is an enforceable law in most areas.

My friends had loud neighbors too. they were two apartments down, and you can still hear them especially if they tried to have their windows open.

I parked across the street one night, and I could still hear them. Both of them.
Nothing grosser than hearing a dude grunt and moan.

pretty damn fucked up...one of the risks you take in a condo/apartment.

We are losing our freedoms more and more world wide from everyone that wants everything to their liking.
 
now there's an idea ... call the police ... that's the only thing i haven't tried to shut up the people in the apartment below me. i've been ready to kick down the door and duck tape the woman's mouth shut.

if you're in an apartment, show some respect for the other tenants. if you want to be noisy, get a house.

actually it works the other way. Should people not cook foods you can smell that you don't like, have to sleep at night, etc.
