those who say calamari or squid... I don't believe you consider them weird things to eat... I, being chinese, LOVE eating calamari and squid!! One of my favorite "family style" dish orders at chinese resturants is Fried Squid/Calamari!!(you can even get them at greek and italian resturants, and many other resturants, but its not exactly the same)

out of what's been listed so far, I've had: Frog's Legs, chocolate covered ants, Venison, shark, Seaweed, Calamari.

In addition, I've eaten various forms of sushi, including one that involved a whole (except for the beak) baby octopus placed atop rice. As far as sushi goes, octopus and squid are too bitter for my tastes, but it doesn't get any better than freshwater eel or ahi tuna. I've also (willingly) eaten chicken giblets, i.e. heart, liver, gizzard, etc.

I'm Chinese, so I've eaten lots of, as someone once said: "Weird sh*t," but I drew the line at a restaurant's offering of pig uterus.

Pig intestines, on the other hand, are delicious.:Q

rats - the kind of rats that eat wheat only (commonly found on wheat or grain fields), not the ones that you see on the street. They tasted somewhat like chicken (a little bit better though)

I would have to say a 2inch wide SCAB from my wifes knee, just JKing

I would have to say live goldfish

Though not the weirdest, when I was doing some survival training back in the Boy Scouts, I was shocked to find out that termites fried in an iron pan are actually pretty tasty.

I made Eagle Scout, and Order Of The Arrow,

Rattlesnake, rtasted like burnt chicken, salt helped it,as it {salt}does help lots of stuff,
Armadillo, Yuck, tasted like over cooked pork..
Horse,on a troop campout,on a ranch in Texas,a horse broke a leg,and was shot, and we were asked if we wanted to eat any,5 out about 40 guys said yes,it was ok,i like beef better, better than mutton, tho.
Buffalo,it was like dry beef..
Bear,it was tough...
Venison,usually good!

iam an eagle scout and OoA also and i didn't eat termites!

- Wild boar (very nice to chew and lots better than pork)
- Snake (can't really taste as it was placed in a soup)
- Eel (very nice as well, like chicken, but tougher)
- Frog/bullfrog (excellent!!! deskinned and steamed with garlic and ginger... yummm. Tastes BETTER than chicken!)
- Pig's liver (placed in soup. good source of iron.. I think)
- Duck's liver/heart (steamed with some sauce... very nice to chew 😉

Uhh... That's about it 😛

We eat mämmi every easter 😀! It's actually quite good once you get used to it. But it does look a bit "suspicious".

The oldest and no doubt the most unusual traditional Finnish dish is mämmi, a dark brown porridge made of water and sweetened rye malt. It is baked in a slow oven in cardboard boxes made to look like birchbark baskets. Nowadays mämmi is a dessert served with cream and sugar, but originally it used to be a Lenten provision, eaten cold as such or spread on top of a slice of bread.

I've eaten fish heads and squids pretty much whole (the insides were the only things cleaned out). Just wondering what daring things ppl have eaten 🙂

uni -- sea urchin roe
I get queasy just typing the word.

This isn't eating but...

After a lot of drinking, I've gone to take a sip of my beer only to find someone had put their cigarette butt in my bottle because they were drunk they didn't bother to see if I was finished.

Man... I don't think anything could possibly taste grosser.

Marinated Calamari is excellent. I use to go to the Wharf at Santa Cruz and get some of that along with Smoked Salmon. Both tasted fantastic!
