I was wondering if anybody knows what the file is for the sound during the registration process. when you install XP it at the end it goes into a registration type program and plays this cool on going song, but i don't know where to find it. Anybody know??

Try doing a search on your system, look for .wav files that are dated about a year ago with a larger file size. I don't remember it either but I am guessing it is probably fairly large in size.

Title: title

location: C:\WINDOWS\system32\oobe\images
size: 2.50 MB (2,624,518 bytes)
size on disk: 2.50 MB (2,625,536 bytes)

It is called windows welcome music in the player, although the title on the disk is "title"

I think that is the one you are looking for...

it's been around for a while; i think it first made its appearance on the Internet Explorer 3 disc provided with some early win 95 packages.
