Due to running out of space on my first hard drive I had to move "my music" to my D drive, after I did this it dissapeared from the right side of the start menu (next to my computer).

Fair enough i thought, so i tried to drag it onto there, but it wouldn't let me.
then I dragged it onto the left side, see pics here.

now the trouble is i can't get rid of it, i have tried "remove from menu" on right click and everything else under the sun.

does anyone know how i can get rid of this maybe through editing files or registry settings?

it is driving me mad!

You could try Start/Control Panel/Taskbar and Start Menu/Customize/Advanced. Scroll down to My Music and choose Do Not Show This Item, then close out and I'd reboot. Check to see if it's there. Clear List on the General tab may do it also. I think you will be able to get it back with the same set of Radio Buttons.
