wierd thing just happened to me...

alright, in the morning today, i was moving my computer to a lan party, and when i got there, a lot of my files just... disappeared... they were all like avi or mpeg files, and its not like i had viewed them in awhile. i was playing with the registery the day before though, but nothing to do with any media files of the such. something like this ever happen to any of you out there before?
