I posted this over in the technical support forum, but it doesnt look like it gets as much traffic as this one, so maybe you can help me here.

first of all, here are some of my specs:
2.2Ghz P4
ATI Radeon X700pro GPU
Foxconn mobo (cant remember model)
I have lots of other stuff, but they're completely unrelated to the problem

I got this GPU in may, and havent had a problem with it until a few weeks ago.
I was just talking to some people on aim, and all of a sudden it seemed like my computer froze. (same screen, mouse arrow wouldnt move, etc.)
I restarted my comp, and the screen stayed blank.

I tryed a few other monitors on my comp. and they were all blank too.
So I went and bought another X700pro (since I couldnt get ahold of ATI), and the same thing happened. blank screen.

I put the old X700 in my parent's computer, and the screen was blank.
I then put the new one in their computer. This time it worked.

Do you think that maybe the old X700 is messed up and so is my AGP slot?
should I try the new X700 with a new mobo?

HELP!!

Thanks in advance

thats the first thing I thought of when it happened, but I have no way of getting them onto the comp. I cant see what I'm doing b/c nothing shows up on the monitor

Hi, A generic low res driver is built into the BIOS for booting. Any good monitor with a good Video board and a running computer should give a picture. Lack of a fancy video driver should make no difference. Jim
