Wierd MSI Mobo behavior

Hey guys,

Sometimes , maybe once in 15 cold boot, the computer will go right to the MSI BIOS menu. I can then hit save&reset and it will boot to windows just fine.

Other time it will boot to windows normally.

Boot order is set to DVD, HDD and everything else is disabled.

Any ideas?

I have DVD first because thats the way it was when I installed the os and never bothered to change it 🙂

Funny you mention it because msi tech replied with same remark. I have now the boot sequence to HDD and nothing else.

Hope that fix the strange times when pc booted direct to bios !

I have the E35 version of the board, same CPU, HD5670, Windows 7 64bit Home Premium, and Crucial M4 SSD on that system. I've had boot orders with DVD first, USB first, or SSD first. No issues like what you describe. Not sure why your system is booting into the BIOS like that.
