Wierd mouse problem

At random times and can't use the left mouse button on my desktop. The right button works fine. I know it's not the mouse because it works fine when I hit the start button, all other windows, and in applications but when I go back to the desktop - nothing.

If I log out and log back in it works again...anybody know what this might be???

That's messed up. What kind of mouse do you have?

It's a mitsumi scroll mouse - I know it's a cheap one but it really doesn't seem to be the mouse.
