I just installed Debian on my Thinkpad A30p for the first time (I've run RH8/9 on it off and on for a while) and for some reason the alignment of the text on the screen is really wrong. (pic) The console wraps around to the top of the screen for some reason...making it really hard to work :). I'm stumped as this was never a problem under RedHat or any other OS. Any ideas?

Peace,
will

Try booting with linux video=vga16:eek:ff to disable the console framebuffer. That might help, not sure...

edit: stupid smilies...
