Ok, My computer runs from morning till nite...only gets shut down when going to bed. Which means about out of 18 hours, only once does it do this. Here is what it does....Well, I can be surfing, or anything in general....( usage )..( havent played games yet where this happened )
anyway...there are alot of blocky colors that appear on the screen. I can see VERY FAINTLY the page I was viewing behind the colors....They run vertically. Where the cursor is....it has a greyish looking box instead of the cursor. When I reboot....it is fine for hours on end...then out of the blue...does it again...My mobo is the AN8 nForce....postcodes are all running fine...I dont detect any other problems....any one know what could be causing this....My vid card is a BBA X800 Pro. Please help...I sure hope this isnt my card going bad

I would put my money on: 1) Inadequate cooling or 2) Faulty card, respectively.

Sounds like a temp issue. Open your case and cool it off with a fan or AC. See if it goes away after a nice cooling, if it doesn't it's your card. My friend was getting those "blotchy" colors and things on his screen, was due to heat issues especially in the summer in NYC. Try what I said though

My case is a full tower atx deluxe. It has a window in the side....with an 80 mm fan blowing at the card. Although for the last few days I had the side off. Its cool here in the bedroom too...probably around 67 degree.....Then the OTES fans are running...and a fan in the back for exhaust also

Do you have an extra card lying around somewhere? Or can you use a friends? It probably is the card @ those temps.
