Width limitation on the Forums

Can anything be done about a "maximum width" for the Forums? The reason I ask is the jackasses who keep posting "OMGOMGOMG...OMG" (or similar), which makes a 10-page-wide thread- highly irritating.

Thoughts, Jason/guys?

Again, another thing that wasn't broken before the downgrade last year.

The way Jason always used to explain it is that individual posts had the ability to increase in width without screwing the rest of the thread up by loading each post one at a time, and allowing it to use the width it requires. In the downgrade, they obviously changed the way this works, and they haven't done anything to fix it.

Generally the longer the thread the more likely this will happen too.

We won't do a max width, that won't help the vast majority off screen widths etc. We *may* at some point scan through a message and if a string is over a certain length, hard wrap it. This is a low priority thing, so i can't promise anything.
