1680x1050 on LCD #1 . . . 1440x900 on LCD #2 at their respective native resolutions with specifics of rig in sig.
[BtW LCD #2 looks like 'No.2' *cough* in comparison] :p
--i use my 19" CRT from 16x12 down to 10x7 [for DX10 games]

2560x1600.

If not that, i generally don't use widescreen, as i'm not a big fan of WS really (for games).

So if i can't run 2560x1600, then i'll use 2048x1536, 1920x1440, 1600x1200, etc...

I play at 1920*1200 when I can. Some newer games are to stressful for my card though, so I've been dropping them to 1280*1024. I don't use any scaling so the image is keyholed on my monitor. It looks great, but it drops my viewable area to a bit more than 17" (it's 24"ws natively).

I play many games at 1680x1050, but for some I scale down to 1280x1024. 1024x768 just looks horrible, though (everything is incredibly aliased).

Try it without scaling sometime. Your screen size will be reduced, but it'll be at native resolution, so it'll still look good. I'd rather have a crisp small screen than a jaggy big screen. I guess it's personal preference though.

1920x1200, and annoyed as Hell that I can't get TF2 to support that resolution. I haven't played any other games yet (just got the 24" Soyo yesterday) but what is the overall best website for widescreen gamers ?

I just bought an 8800gt so I am excited at the possibility to play at resolutions like 1680x1050 and 1920x1200. But I cant decide on a monitor to try. Should I get a good quality 22" tn panel like the samsung 226bw or a cheap 24" mva like the soyo or westy?

I always try and play at my native resolution of 1680x1050. Crysis is the first game I had to use 1024x768 just to get it playable.

I'm sure it supports it. Look for a menu option for "widescreen". For HL2 and CSS you must select widescreen to get the wide options.

depends on the game, but i always play at native. games like COD4 i play at 1680x1050, while games like guild wars i'll hook up to my 42" TV and play at 1920x1080. i dont think i've got the graphics horsepower to play everything on the TV.

1920x1200 native first with all details and textures cranked up. Shadows and AA are the first eye-candy options to get turned down. My panel can do 1:1 pixel mapping too, so for most online FPS or games that don't have wide screen, I do 1600x1200 with bars on the side. Wide Screen tends to be a bit distracting in FPS for me. D: Can also run lower resolutions at 1:1 with bars on all sides, something I'll probably end up doing with Crysis when I get it eventually.
