I just installed a HDMI/DVI cable (previously used compnent) to connect my motorola cable box (DVI) to my Samsung HD TV (HDMI). Using this cable the widescreen picture option no longer fills the screen (ie looks like 4:3 picture). When I switch TV image to display 4:3 the picture gets even smaller.
During one power off/on cycle I saw a message that my HD signal had been compromied and to use component cable.
When I disconnect the HDMI/DVI cable and re-connect component cables I still do not get a widescreen picture.
I do not understand what is going on. Any ideas?
