Wide Aspect CRT Monitor ?

I know Sony sells the PREMIERPRO? Series 24? FD Trinitron® CRT
GDM-FW900 But the price is out of this world at about $1740-$2000

I would like to get a wide-aspect monitor cause i need a good dev/work monitor,
with at least a 1800 or so resolution... i want to be able to read 2+ pages of text side by side,
anyone know of any other comparable monitors?

Why don't you go dual monitors? That would be pretty cheap.
