how to get rid of the user account keep showing on the welcome screen.
these is the cause, I just upgraded my old xp service pack 2 to 3 then upon logging in it shows my user account. I need to click that account (I have no password) to go to my desktop which is not ny case before upgrading. it was just continuing to my desktop before.
I tried putting a password then reboot, so at It was expected it asked me for a password, then I put it. go to control panel and removed that password, reboot and then the user account still there waiting to be click..
 
go to run and type "control userpasswords2"
uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer"
fill in user name and password to auto log on with
