Why is it that my DVD-ROM drive(Toshiba SD M1402) doesn't play a lot of DVD's [eg Mission Impossible] by my friend's DVD-ROM drive[Pioneer DVD - 114] plays the same DVD smoothly. I am having this problems with lots of DVD's and a bit frustated. Both are running WinXP. I checked Toshiba drive website but they are mentioning there is no need for any bios cause it is inbuilt with windows. Any suggestions what can I do?
