why cant i put imags in my sig

Because our forums are very large, and the added bandwidth necessary to deal with retrieving images would slow the forums too much.

Because some some people would put highly annoying or inappropriate images in their sigs and it would be too much work for the mods to remove them.
 
There was a time when you could post images here but there were some posted that were close to x rated and some posted huge pix of their cars using a ton of bandwidth. It had to stop.

Not if you let people host their own. 😉

In all honesty I'm glad they don't allow it and hope they never do. It looks unprofessional and is nearly impossible to moderate.
