I am thinking you are trolling now. Driving 10mph+ below the limit is much more dangerous than 10 mph above. There is a big reason all cars have third brake lights and that the whole brake light deal is very noticeable. This is all easily researchable.

People have a very hard time approaching a slower or stopped vehicle knowing they are not still moving at the same speed as the rest of traffic.

But yes in the end it's DRIVER ERROR and this is why slamming on your brakes for no reason made for a very nice lawsuit run.

common sense goes a long way. i never had a problem with approaching a slower or stopped vehicle. you can see how fast your approaching a vehicle if you pay attention.
take it from a Class A CDL driver who never been in a wreck while behind the wheel. They do have safety training classes which would help the morons who have this "hard time" driving.

also, this is the system all good drivers go by.

I hate to break it to you but most people have a very hard time telling a major difference in speed as they approach just like they have a very hard time thinking in 3D spaces when given a 2D model.

Of course most of ATOT is superhuman so this doesn't apply.

My old pickup had trouble doing above 65 going uphill on the interstate. Even maintaining that required me to floor it. So yeah, I was one of those people when I had that truck.

my car is craptastic, i can *do* 70+ uphill, but i have to floor it. i can do 65 - 70 without a problem. usually in a 70 im going about 75

i try to get out of the way of people going noticeably faster than me by staying/moving to the slow lane as needed.

/unless youre trying to go 90 and tailgate me, then ill get over when its convenient for me, not so i can be convenient for you.

One doesn't have to pick the interstate/highway if they can't keep up. Stick to side roads.

We have an actual low speed highway here...like 45mph and all the lights are timed so you drive non-stop or at most have to stop once...it runs a good 60 miles+...it's about 2 mins from I-95 yet all the slow pokes ignore it.

I'm not someone who likes to be in a rush. I drive the speed I'm comfortable driving, even when I'm driving a new model vehicle. I have as much right to use the road as you do.

You are an assclown. Your license should be revoked.

No idea why some people drive ~10 mph slower than the posted speed limit and won't either get out of the way or switch to the "slow lane".

It's really frustrating when the roads are clear, speed limit signs are posted, yet they still can't drive the speed limit. Portland area is notorious for these types of drivers - especially on the single lane country roads [unposted speed limit] - they'll drive 55-60 when it's ok to pass, but as soon as it's not, they'll slow down to 45-50.

Same goes for areas with a lot of buildings - the posted speed limit is 45... yet people will drive 35 mph.

Totally different situation when driving in Canada - if someone is driving slow, they'll pull over to allow traffic to pass. And in Israel, Ireland, and China - they'll run your ass off the road if you drive too slow or ignore the rules of the road and pull out into on-coming traffic to pass you.

I can only think it's some "nascar style ego" driving is why it only seems to happen in America...
