Why would anyone in their right mind play Minecraft?

You can do anything you want in the game, except make it look good. I love old games, but for a new game to basically look like the original Wolf3d is kind of suspect.

I was playing the original Wolfenstein 3D on my ps3 just the other day.

I watched the fire vid posted above and a TNT city related video on youtube. I think he needed a supercomputer to render all those 8 bit images!

I don't get that video, what is the point of the TNT? I didn't see him blow anything up, was his goal just to build a big wall of it?

Well I stand corrected on the point I made, this game looks marginally better than Wolf3d. And I'm sure once it's finally out of beta it'll give Doom 2 a run for it's money graphically.

He could not show it because his computer wasnt capable of rendering the graphic. He said his computer crashed 30x for lack of processing power and memory!

All he could show you was the result.

Haven't played it, but watched some Vids on it a month ago and it looks like a blast. The amount of stuff you can do is astounding and the fact that you are just presented with a Blank World with no preset Goal/Mission has a lot of appeal. You can go into it and do whatever you want. Pretty sweet and original.

You have to get mcpatcher to install. Find the Misa texture pack thread in the minecraft forums it has instructions.

This game is a test of creativity. If all you can focus on are the pretty colors, you're a boring, unoriginal, uncreative gamer that will stereotypically buy the same Call Of Duty games over and over and over because they look good, even though they're not innovative in any way and they cost a bloody goddamn fortune.

No, nobody can. The game is technically still in beta.

It depends. You *can* play it that way, and should, but many people use editors to build the world, save the file, then launch the game and load the pre-built world.

Fuckin cheaters!

Oh, and you have to MAKE each TNT from several other components that you have to first harvest, too. No way he harvested and built 10,000+ tnt boxes.
