Why would an IKEA worker be fired?

The funny thing is Ikea did not catch him. It was his own bank that turned him in. So Ikea really messed up here.

It makes you wonder if having several bank accounts all at different banks would've allowed him to get away with it since Ikea obviously wasn't on to him.
