Yay! My deck was stolen from my truck! I am glad I work so hard to get the stuff that I want so stupid dumbass jerks can go and take it from me!

I hope all thieves will die in hell by having their skin peeled off and then dipped in a vat of vinegar... during which they will be listening to endless loops of Hanson, and Aaron Carter played at the same time! :|

Start keeping a rattlesnake in your vehicle. Of course, then you'd have to deal with the rattle snake...

You know, I've always thought about how pissed I'd be if I caught someone stealing from my car or home. Seems like crushing their skull would be about the only thing that would satisfy me at that point. Logically, it's just a little beyond "an eye for an eye", though. You look at how barbaric the Islamic laws are, with people getting limbs lopped off for thievery. Hell, makes me no better, I'd like to see 'em DEAD! For crying out loud, they're only stealing property!

Honestly, if the cops caught somebody taking your stuff, what penalties are they actually facing? You would be losing a thousand dollars worth of stuff, plus damage to the vehicle, and they'd get what, a day in jail at the most? Would they have to compensate you in any way? Damn, I'd rather extract a pound of flesh! :|

I deal with these little hoodlum thieves on a daily basis. Its sad the courts tend to set them free with very little punishment. I do however believe what goes around, comes around. They will get thiers someday!

Yes it is. What goes around comes around is something people think about to make themselve feel less stressed out. If some poor hoodlums with no money to pay take your car apart and take stuff, I should be allowed to take them apart and sell their kidneys.

Kidneys should have high enough market value to pay for damaged windows, emotional suffer and other damage done to vehicle during the theft. People donate a kidney from time to time, but in this case, take both!

You're doing humanity a good by eliminating a car thief from the face of earth and helping people in needs of kidney transparents. The financial transcation involved moves money and is good for the economy as well.

a friend of mine has his truck stolen. now, this was no ordinary truck, it was a sound competition truck, hes one of the top amatuers in the country. probably had about $60000 in custom audio gear and work in that truck. also in the truck was his skydiving gear. so the thieves just steal it from the parking lot of our apt complex. anyhow, the theives must have figured they should sell off everything, including the skydiving gear. so they head to the nearest skydiving field. which of course is where he jumped at. and when they tried to sell the gear, it was recognized as his. so the theives were caught. skydiving is federally regulated. so in addition to grand theft auto, they got a mandatory 5 years for stealing the skydiving gear.

There was a guy in high school who mounted straight edge razors behind his deckso that when a thief tried to yank it forward they'd cut their hand... obviously that would only work if it was not in dash....

The sad thing is that the thief would probably be able to sue you for placing a booby trap in your car.

Seriously, how would this go down? Say you catch somebody crawling out of your car with your stereo in his hand. Can you make a citizen's arrest, or something to that effect? At what point can you beat the living fvck out of the POS? Does he have to throw the first punch? Can you physically restrain them till the cops show up? Basically, if they want my stereo so bad, I'd like to give it to them... up the ass sideways! :|

i think that solution would be best served by the "dead men tell no tales" philosiphy. however, there are laws against just killing people that steal your stuff. unless you're in texas IIRC :p

potential social expiriment: arm every responsible citizen and observe change in crime rate.

anyone wanna help narzy design the stereo defense system, I was thinking somthing tazer like, but sustained and a hell of alot more voltage, I mean we have a car battery to play with here people, there has got to be a way to shock the sh!t out of these stereo theives, I mean its legal, if they shock themselves to death illegally and improperly removing your high voltage stereo and you clearly have it marked with a "cool" high voltage sticker, you warned them, and they still did it, and were delivered a 1 million volt 30 amp to 100 amp jolt that stops their heart dead in its tracks...its their own damn fault!

I am dead serious about this tho, I would like to develope an in car tazer system that shocks the hell out of people stealing stuff out of your car, or stealing your car in general, plus an engine kill switch and smoke and sleep gas paint pepperspray canister. they get the works, smoked incar put to sleep (so you can hopefully catch the basterds) but if that doesnt work, clearly marked (with a floresent paint that dies their skin so they can be seen at night) and pepper sprayed so they go running to the nearest source of water with their new found electronic device...

Better yet narzy, have the car tweaked in by the cops themselves. Run it like a sting (or taser) operation. Plant the car in a known car stereo theft location, put a camera on it and watch the fun! Give the car a REALLY valuable pile of equipment, so it's grand theft. I'd volunteer some time to man the monitor, if it's too expensive to have the cops do it. Could these turds argue entrapment in any way that would let them skate?

A few people have been putting razors on the back for their stereo equipment, right where you would want to pick it up. But there seems to be a leagal issue here. The story is that in late 80's/early 90's, a robber was trying to break into a house by going through the window, slipped on some ice below the window, hurt himself, sued the homeowner and won. I would think it would have to be a really wacky judge to convict someone...

So if you put razor blades on your equipment and you put up a sign "Beware, dangerous equipment" would you still be held accountable? I want to protect my sound system ... and inflict pain to anyone who tries to steal it.
