I was fooling around the other day and installed Might and Magic VII on my system and it will not launch. I have heard of older games not working properly on newer systems, but I am curious as to why this is.
 
Go to the official site of the game (if it still exists) and go to the Frequently asked questions section, or known issues section...
Maybe there is a newer patch available for the game?

Also do you regularly update your video card drivers? drivers fix a lot of known bug as well
