this damn pci card wont go in the slot...i have no idea why...the back part goes in and the front part goes in, but not all the way. what am i doing wrong? fhafhalfh

Cut your wrist with the card. The blood will catalyze an electrochemical reaction that will make sure the slot will be perfect when you try again.

seems odd....is your mobo correctly aligned in the case??? My friend did the same thing but he was trying to jam an PCI card in an AGP slot lol

Cheap case? I have one that is my sons that I have a bitch time with the card to go into the slot and couldnt screw the mobo down all the way so I could push it upwards towards to card to have it go into the slot all the way.

there are usually tabs in the case where the metal part fits into on the PCI card. Make sure that is lined up with that notch in the case.

Are you sure have a PCI card going into a PCI slot? Make sure you actually have the right equipment? Otheriwse, it sounds like a problem with the alignment of the mobo in regards to the case, as several have mentioned already.

how could the motherboard be alligned incorrectly? its on the screws fine I believe and in place.....if its alligned incorrectly...how would i make it allign correctly?

sometimes they just fit awkwardly with the case. the metal part is hanging it up probably, you may have to bend it a little to seat right
