Why won't prices for slot coolers go down?

Am I the only one that is wondering this? Everybody is going to socket this and socket that. So why aren't Alpha slot coolers cheaper?!?

I've been waiting for them to get a little cheaper so i can justify picking one up. As it is, it's just too much money.

Supply and demand. They probably aren't being produced in large quantities anymore, so supply is low, so prices remain constant -- or worse yet, go up as supply decreases even more.
