Why won't my wife compromise? I thought marriages were supposed to be compromises.

So, we're trying to save a little money. I eat protein powder and have a few 10lb tubs kicking around. I had what I think is a bright idea to start using these as mini-potties in the house. Basically, only for #1, we'll fill these and instead of flushing down lots of water (read: $$$), once these are full, we dump it and start again.

My wife was against this from the start. She refuses to partake. So I say ok, fair enough, we'll compromise. Instead of waiting until this potty tub is full, we'll wait until it's half-full. I only asked her to meet me half way, but nope she says no potty-buckets in our house.

I don't get women. They complain when we spend money on beer and then won't even less us piss that beer into a money-save potty-bucket.

sounds like reasonable logic to me...save money on water...convenience factor....apart from the stench but i imagine you'll get used to that...I don't get what her problem is 😕

You should suggest that you recycle the pee. Add a little sugar and call it lemonade!

Oh wait, sugar costs money, better just drink it straight.

Why take half measures when you can just build a privy in your backyard and go fully back to the 19th century?

I think the problem is the tubs are not big enough! Get the 20lb tubs so she can pee in them. Makes an easier target for you as well.

Ingenious. You should avoid cleaning clothes, washing dishes...or really even showering. You can save mad money and buy your wife something nice...like a loaf of bread and some ham so she can make you more sammiches.

Maybe, I don't know, flush the toilet once per day and let the urine accumulate that way?
Problem is, once the fluid hits a certain level the toilet auto-flushes. That's why the tubs are so great. Let's us track the "ins and outs", too, in case we need that information for medical reasons.

I still find that solution to be pretty unsanitary.
