Why won't my mouse scroll through weapons in games?

Does anyone know where I can get a registry fix or some fix to the Logitech drivers' compatibility issue between the scroll button and games? In games such as Unreal Tournament, the I can't scroll through weapons. I know it isn't my mouse's problem since I can scroll through weapons and stuff when I uninstall the Logitech drivers and install an HID-compliant mouse. But with the HID-compliant mouse, my Logitech Optical Mouseman Wheel can't use its thumb button. Thanks for the help. Someone tried to give me a link already in another thread but the link never worked.

I posted a topic about this awhile ago, but I was using a normal logitech wheel mouse, and someone suggested I use the Intellimouse drivers. Well, I can scroll through my weapons now in UT. But I dunno bout no thumb button...

Try here http://www.logitech.com/cf/support/mousefiles_w98.cfm scroll down the page until you see the heading "MOUSE REGISTRY FILE FOR GAMERS"

Or you could manually edit the registry, the following instructions are taken from the "read me file".

- From the Registry Editor screen, double click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.

- Double click on SOFTWARE.

- Double click on Logitech.

- Double click on MouseWare.

- Double click on CurrentVersion.

- Single click on Technical and information should be displayed on

the right side of the Registry Editor screen.

- Under the Name column, double click on the "MouseHookDLLEnable"

entry and the Edit String Dialogue box should appear.

- Modify the Value Data line to read "0", and click the "OK" button

- Exit the Registry editor (saving is automatic).

- Restart the system

My Logitech Opitcal wouldn't work in UT either until I said screw the logitech drivers and used the intelli drivers and now it works perfectly. Logitech has to keep us GAMERS in consideration too😉

with my intelli explorer it never worked in Win98/ME but when I switched to Win2000 I have no problems using the scroll wheel in games.
